Serum with pumpkin
Mannik with pumpkin is a simple sweet dish that can be cooked by an aspiring cook. Usually this by-product of cooking cottage cheese is thrown away, but do not rush! From whey you can cook a lot of wonderful dishes, ranging from drinks to cakes and pancakes.
For sweet pastries, take a nutmeg pumpkin with bright orange pulp, be sure to add ground cinnamon to the dough, which will emphasize the spicy scent of a pumpkin.
Mannik will turn out juicy, tender, it just melts in your mouth. I advise you to bake mannik from half of the pumpkin, and cook pumpkin jam or cook jam from the rest. You can serve the dish to the table like this: cut a piece of cake, pour sour cream, adding a generous portion of jam! It remains to make a cup of tea and enjoy homemade delicious!

Ingredients for making manna with pumpkin on whey
- 350 g pumpkin pulp;
- 100 g of granulated sugar;
- 100 g semolina;
- 2 chicken eggs;
- 150 ml of whey;
- 100 g of wheat flour;
- 5 g of baking powder;
- 60 g butter;
- 50 g of dried fruits (raisins, dried apricots);
- 3 g of fine salt;
- 5 g ground cinnamon;
- icing sugar, candied fruit for decoration.
A method of preparing a manna with pumpkin on serum
Pour sugar in a bowl, add a pinch of fine salt, pour milk whey. My serum remains from the preparation of homemade cottage cheese, however, it can also be bought in the store.
We break the eggs into a bowl, mix the products with a whisk until smooth.
We cut the pumpkin into two parts, remove the seeds, cut the peel. Rub the pumpkin pulp on a coarse grater, add to the liquid ingredients.
Measure out the right amount of semolina, pour into a bowl.
We mix the baking powder of the dough with wheat flour, sift it, add to the rest of the ingredients. To prepare not only a tasty, but also a healthy dish, replace regular refined flour with whole grain, and white sugar with brown.
Melt the butter in a saucepan, cool. Add melted butter, ground cinnamon and dried fruits to the bowl. For a variety of textures, in addition to dried fruits, you can put finely chopped walnuts, pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds in the dough.
We mix the ingredients with a whisk, leave for 20-30 minutes at room temperature so that the cereal absorbs moisture, swells a little.
We grease a baking dish or a deep cast-iron pan with butter, sprinkle with flour, pour out the dough, level it with a spatula.
We heat the oven to 185 degrees Celsius. We put the pan in the center of the oven to the middle level. Depending on the individual characteristics of the stove, we cook 35-40 minutes. We check the readiness with a bite - there should not be traces of the test on it.
Sprinkle the cooled mannik with pumpkin with powdered sugar and decorate with candied pumpkin jam.
To the table, mannica on whey with pumpkin, serve with tea or warm milk, before serving, pour sour cream and jam. Enjoy your meal!
